New Rice Beef Stroganoff


Fry the mushrooms in olive oil for 5 minutes. Tip onto the plate and put aside. Fry the beef in the same frying pan, and when it’s ready pour the broth and bring the mixture to boil.

Add the mushrooms, meat, sliced onions, wine, garlic, broth and brandy into a casserole then cover it and transfer to the oven for about 1-1 ½ hours. When the beef is ready, just strain the liquid and add the cream and boil for a few minutes and in the end season it. Add the roux into the remaining liquid. Pour the sauce over the meat and keep it hot for serving.

If you don’t know what is roux or how to make it just mix flour with the butter with the same quantities and cook for a few minutes. For rice pilaf we need 25 g butter, 1 chopped onion, 150 g of basmati rice and 380 ml of chicken stock. Fry the onion in the butter for avout 10 minutes.

Then add the rice and keep it over the heat for 2 minutes.Add the stock with black bround pepper and bring the mixture to boil. When its ready cover and keep it for simmering for another a few minutes.
